LSU - Alabama rivalry just got uglier
I cannot believe this. Someone shot and killed two people over an argument about the LSU-Alabama game! Yikes.
Talk about a disappointment, though! I thought LSU was going to get it when we blocked that field goal. Dang Jarett Lee!!!

EVERGREEN, Ala. – Authorities say an argument over Saturday's Alabama-LSU football game led to the shooting deaths of a couple at a home in southern Alabama.
Prosecutors identified the victims as Dennis and Donna Smith of Brewton. The shooting happened about 7 p.m. Saturday at the home of Michael Williams in the rural community of Owassa.
Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of murder.
Investigators told the Press-Register newspaper in Mobile that Dennis Smith, an LSU fan, called Williams, an Alabama fan, after Alabama's 27-21 overtime win and an argument ensued.
The Smiths went to Williams home. Investigators said Smith had a pistol and Williams had a shotgun and fired. Donna Smith was a relative of Williams' girlfriend.

Post a CommentI too thought we were going to pull it out after that blocked field goal. Jarrett Lee man - I have to think things would have been better with a different QB but there is always next year!
I saw this story too. It is really sad.
I wasn't at home, so I was listening to it on XM (it's so comforting to listen to 98.1 all the way up here in DC) --- anyway, you should have heard them announce the blocked field goal. I could barely even hear what they were saying it was so loud in the stadium!
Well, I am an Alabama fan but I also thought you guys would have it after that field goal. I had about 5 heart attacks watching that game. Still, it's just a freaking game! I can't believe people were shot and killed over this. It's just really sad to me what people will kill over... ANYTHING! It's just a game and like you guys said, there is always next year!
Baton Rouge is like a cemetery after that loss!
